How it works

A deliberate process, controlled by the owner

Each step is designed so an owner can learn something useful without committing to a transaction or exposing confidential information.
  1. 01

    Understand the business and objectives

A3 learns about the company, the owner, their priorities and potential timing.

  2. 02

    Evaluate potential paths

A3 considers whether the owner may be better served by an M&A advisor, a capital-raising advisor, a lender, an equity investor, a strategic partner, a direct conversation, additional preparation or continued monitoring.

  3. 03

    Identify relevant matches

A3 reviews the experience, criteria and fit of advisors, investors, lenders and strategic partners within its network.

  4. 04

    Obtain permission

No confidential company information is shared without the owner's approval.

  5. 05

    Facilitate an introduction

A3 coordinates the initial conversation and helps both parties understand the potential fit.

  6. 06

    Stay involved where appropriate

A3 may remain involved to facilitate communication, gather feedback or help redirect the owner where the initial match is not appropriate.
